Abstract
1300864 Moulding metal powders &c ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 2 March 1970 [3 March 1969] 42515/71 Divided out of 1300863 Heading B5A [Also in Division C7] The density of sintered bodies is increased by isostatically compacting the sintered body under the direct influence of a pressure medium such as H 2 , N 3 , A or He without enclosing the body in a sheath. The sintered body is preferably isostatically compacted in the sintering furnace which has a chamber enclosed in a pressure chamber (Specification 1,300,863). The compaction is preferably effected at the sintering temperature. The sintered bodies may be cemented carbides of WC, TaC, TiC on VC with Fe and/or Co and/or Ni; cermets of 90-99% Al 2 O 3 and 1-10% Ag; MoSi 2 or glass or UO 2 .
