Abstract
1300863 Vacuum sintering isostatic hot press apparatus ALLM€NNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA A B 2 March 1970 [3 March 1969] 9866/70 Heading C7D An isostatic powder pressing vacuum sintering furnace comprises a furnace chamber 15 enclosed in an insulating sleeve 17 heated by electric elements 47, enclosed in a high pressure cylinder 10 inside a pressure chamber 2. The lower end closure of chamber 2 comprises an annular part 50 sealed against cylinder 10 by ring 51 and a valve plate 55 centred by guides 58 and sealing against seat 52 of 50 by ring 56. A vacuum conduit 70 projects into 50 and is sealed by ring 71. The bottom of the furnace chamber 15 is formed by insulating material 61, 62 enclosed in metal ring 60 which is attached to valve plate 55. The annular part 50 plate 55 and charge 16 are raised or lowered by cylinder 83 via sleeve 81 and bracket 80. The upper end of chamber 2 is closed by a member 13 and the upper end of the furnace chamber 15 by insulating member 25 and sealing rings 30, 31. Pressure medium is supplied via condiut 37. The charge 16 is vacuum sintered in the furnace 15 with the valve position as in Fig.3. The annular part 50 is then lifted and the vacuum connection 70 removed. Press stand 1 is then moved into position, pressure medium is supplied to the pressure chamber via 37 and the sintered body is isostatically compacted.
