Abstract
1299043 Metal heating furnaces ALLMANNA SVENSKA ELEKTRISKA AB 19 April 1971 [3 Feb 1970] 23867/71 Heading F4B [Also in Division C7] A pressure sintering furnace for use in powder metallurgy comprises a furnace chamber enclosed in a high pressure cylinder 33 which is suspended in a stand 38. The upper end closure 36 is fixed in the cylinder and is provided with a channel 39 for the supply of pressure medium e.g. helium, argon or nitrogen and a channel for an electric cable 40 to feed electric heating elements 41, a plate 42 being provided with an outlet for the cable 40. The end closure is provided with an insulating sheath 43 and an insulating lid 44 the heating elements 41 are also suspended in the upper end closure 36. The furnace is loaded by means of a lower end closure 37 which is vertically slidable and turnable on a guide 49 and is lowered and raised by an operating cylinder. The end closure 37 is provided with a cylinder 60 of insulating material to receive a billet 61.
