Abstract

1290330 Security device for firearms VALMATICS Ltd 12 Dec 1969 [12 Dec 1968] 59226/68 Heading F3C A security device for firearms or the like comprises a pair of plates 2, 10 which in use enclose the trigger of the firearm and are locked about the trigger. One plate 2 is provided with a cylinder or barrel lock 3 a rotatable, threaded portion 8 of which engages in a tapped hole 9 in the other plate 10. A threaded bore may be provided in the rotatable portion of the lock, a threaded spigot of the other plate co-operating therewith (Fig. 3, not shown). The interengagement may be in the form of a bayonet connection. Hardened steel pins 11, 12 are inserted in the body of the lock and rotatable portion for strengthening purposes. The lock 3 is connected to the plate 2 by a locking nut 4 and a grub screw 13. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,157,247
