Abstract

A bolt 6, in screw-threaded engagement in a bore 7 in a handle shaft 4, passes through an aperture in a door and slidably into a bore 10 in a second handle shaft 5, and a clamping screw 13 in threaded engagement with a transverse bore in the shaft 5 has a conical end which engages an inclined face of a cavity 12 in the bolt to brace the handles against corresponding door surfaces.
