Abstract

1,115,217. Door handles. W. WEYMANN [trading as HUGO HAUSSELS]. 20 March, 1967, No. 12836/67. Heading A4U. [Also in Division E2] In a pair of door handles detachably coupled so as to be adjustable to different door thicknesses, a cylindrical toothed rack 4 is screwed into a pin 3 integral with the handle 1, and a U-section insert 6 in a socket 5 in the handle 2 has tapered, resilient legs 7, 8 with inbent, semicircularly recessed ends engaging the teeth of the rack. The handle 2 has a radial bore for insertion of a screwdriver to spread the legs 7, 8 for disengagement from the rack.
