Abstract

1280579 Mop handles T V MOSS 15 May 1970 23735/70 Heading B4K An attachment device for connecting a mop to a handle 13 comprises gripping members 1 and 2, member 1 having a cylindrical extension 12 with a cut-out consisting of a slot and an enlarged portion 23, member 2 having a reduced portion 25 with an enlarged portion 26 at its free end; the portion 25 fitting in the slot and being retained therein by the handle fitting over the cylindrical extension 12, a collar 11 being longitudinally movable with respect to the gripping members and engageable with screw threads 10 on member 1 whereby it can force the members together to grip a mop. A lower portion 14 of the collar is enlarged to allow members 1 and 2 to grip different sized mops. Between the cylindrical extension 12 and member 1 there is a bevelled portion which acts as a stop for the handle 13. The device can be made of plastics or metal and has a number of teeth 6.
