Abstract

968,669. Firearms. S. C. LATTER, and A. A. LATTER. Sept. 15, 1960 [Sept. 15, 1959], No. 31420/59. Heading F3C. A trigger shield 5, Fig. 3, wholly encloses the trigger and trigger guard of a firearm and is locked in position. The shield comprises two flanged plates 6, 7, Fig. 2, one, 6, having an integral threaded pin 12 with an apertured end 17 and the other, 7, having a rotatable boss 14 in the form of a milled nut. The plates are positioned on opposite sides of the trigger guard and the pin 12 engaged in the boss 14, the latter being tightened to draw the plates 6, 7 together. A padlock 19 is then passed through the hole 18 in the protruding end of the pin 12 or the pin may be adapted to receive a cylinder type of lock.
