Abstract
1473025 Double cylinders for locks E KELLER-VOLPER 7 Aug 1975 [25 Sept 1974] 33072/75 Heading E2A A double barrelled cylinder lock comprises a housing 3 enclosing rotatable cylinders 1, 2 in turn housing a common core 4 which operates a common bit 6, the core having a key passage 5 accommodating a sliding captive key 11, whereby, when a free key is inserted into one of the barrels, the sliding key is pushed into the other barrel and the core is freed to rotate. A bolt 15 engaging a slot in the captive key 11 provides end stops to prevent release of the captive key and align it with either barrel, the tumblers of which are not shown.
