Abstract
1290182 Fuel injection systems ROBERT BOSCH GmbH 26 Sept 1969 [28 Sept 1968] 47512/69 Addition to 1261223 Heading G1N [Also in Divisions F1 and H1] In an electrically controlled fuel injection system, in which the injection valve main opening pulses are controlled by a multi-vibrator triggered in synchronism with the engine speed, additional triggering of the multivibrator, between each two triggering pulses, is effected to provide fuel enrichment during acceleration when the butterfly valve is opened, by a switching device connected to the spindle of the butterfly valve. As shown, a hub 9 is secured to the spindle 3 of the butterfly valve 2, and a cam 15 having a plurality of projections 16 is rotatably mounted on the hub, via a one-way clutch, including a roller 40 provided between the cam 15 and a depressed wall 42 of the hub such that the cam is locked to the hub in the opening direction of the butterfly valve but not in the closing direction. A lever 17 is rockably mounted about a pin 22 and end portions 18, 19 are spring urged against the cam so that as the cam rotates the lever rocks about the pin 22 thus causing an arm 28 secured to the lever to make and break contacts 31, 32 and 33, 34. For correct assembly of the switching device, annular plates 48, 49 are secured to the hub 19 by rivets and a pin 50, 51, the portion 51 of the pin maintaining two no-load contacts (52), (53), Fig.3 (not shown) closed when the butterfly valve is in the idling position.
