Abstract
1323123 Fuel injection systems NISSAN MOTOR CO Ltd 19 Oct 1970 [22 Oct 1969(4)] 49535/70 Heading G1N In an I.C. engine fuel injection control system, when acceleration is required, two acceleration signals are provided by a circuit 40, Figs. 5 or 13 or 15 (not shown), one increasing the width of the main injection valve opening pulses computed by a circuit 52, Figs. 8 or 10 (not shown), and the other either initiating a series of additional injection valve opening pulses or operating a starting injection valve 200 to provide the extra fuel required. Acceleration is sensed either by movement of the throttle valve 10 using apotentiometer, Fig. 2 (not shown), an oscillator, Fig. 3 (not shown), or a Piezo-electric device, Figs.4(a) and (b) (not shown), or by sensing the inlet manifold pressure, Fig. 10 (not shown), which may also control the main injection valve opening pulse duration. The duration of the main opening pulse and of each pulse of the additional series of opening pulses may also be controlled by the engine temperature, Fig. 13 (not shown), thereby improving cold-starting.
