Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve engine starting performance by shortening the cranking time in an engine equipped with a fuel injection controlling system, through employment of an arrangement in which starting fuel is pre-supplied by opening an injection valve for a certain time period simultaneously with actuation of ignition switch.
CONSTITUTION: Signals from engine-speed sensor 9, intake-air flow sensor 3, water- temperature sensor 8 and throttle sensor 9 are furnished to control unit 10 and compared with respective reference values by means of A/D converter 26, memory 22, etc. Output signal of the control unit 10 is formed into pulse signal by micro-processor 21 and the quantity of fuel injected from injection valve 6 is controlled by driving circuit 32. An asynchronous injection circuit 29 is assembled in the control unit 10, so that it is operated when the opening of throttle valve is smaller than a certain angle and a required amount of fuel is injected from injection valve 6 at the time of starting by the function of asynchronous register 30.
