Abstract

1284191 Shelving OMEGA PLASTICS Ltd 20 May 1971 [2 June 1970] 26615/70 Heading A4B [Also in Division F4] A shelf adapted for fitment over a central heating radiator comprises a main section 1 with a portion 4 forming the shelf surface and a depending portion 5 for fixing to a wall and a pair of end sections 2, 3 forming extensions of the shelf surface, the end sections 2, 3 each being rounded at an outside corner and including a portion 15 for securing the section 2, 3 to a wall so that each end section 2, 3 forms a bracket which assists in supporting the main section 1. The end sections 2, 3 include tongues 17 which engage in the ends of the main section 1. A sealing strip 8 is secured in a groove 7 in the wall engaging face of the depending portion 5. An aluminium reflector plate 13 has its longitudinal edges snap-fitted in grooves 10, 12 formed in the main section 1. A decorative strip 18 may be secured in a groove formed around the front edge of the shelf.
