Abstract

1,020,164. Wall skirting strip. A. M. JINKS. March 18, 1964 [March 18, 1963], No. 10677/63. Heading E1V. A composite wall border strip formed by extrusions of synthetic plastic material with or without appropriate metal or rubber comprises a body part 11 having upper and lower flanges 12, 13 where shown and a cover strip 16 to clip on to these flanges and enclose a space between it and the body part 11. The cover strip 16 has resilient tongues 19, 20 to engage recesses in the body part 11 which has longitudinal webs 15 subdividing it into channels and hence a throughway extending longitudinally within the strip 16. The strip 16 may be fitted against an angle between two surfaces, a third strip of synthetic plastic material forming a fillet 24 as shown to merge the strip 16 into the floor 30. The body part has a back wall 11 integral with a top flange 12, a curved bottom flange 13 and a shaped flange 14 just above it, the cover strip 16 snapping between the flanges 12, 14 in which are recesses. The strip 24 is impaled on a part 25 of the flange 13 and spaced between it and the flange 14.
