Abstract

A housing comprises at least two parts 1,2 which are interengageable one part having a plurality of channels 11, part 1 is adhered or nailed to the wall of a room to form a skirting board and electric cables arranged in the channels 11. Part 2 has sealing strips 20 which prevent ingress of water or dust. Grooves 21 are provided to receive nails or screws. Couplers 3, internal and external corners 4,5 and outlets 6 are also provided. The housing has a decorative effect and since the electric cables are in distinct channels a short circuit and fire in one cable will not spread to a cable in another channel. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION Decoration board for electric wire laid This invention relates to a decoration board, particu larlva decoration board to be used for insulating the electric wire laid indoors. Today, in some rooms, electric wires are usually laid in a disordered manner, which not only reduces the beautiful appearance of the room, but also can give rise to fire that result in life or property loss. Currently, a means has been developed to improve that situation, i.e., the skirt board, in which a central groove is furnished to house the wires; unfortunately, since all the wires are laid in one groove, the possibility offire hazard still exists. In case of one wire being on fire as a result of short-circuit, the rest wires will also be burned; in otherwords, the possibility offire hazard will surely be increased instead of solving the short-circuit problem.
In view of the aforesaid facts, the inventor has developed a decoration board for electric wire laid indoors, which not only can solve the safety problem, but also can fulfil the beautiful appearance require mentfora room. The feature of the present invention isto usetwo pieces of engaging boards to form a numberofchannels, in which wires may be laid respectively for safety purpose. The outer surface of the board informed into a saw-tooth shape, which can tuckawaythefastening nails, and also can presentan elegant appearance to the room.
An embodiment ofthe present invention is described, with reference to the drawings attached, as follows: Fig. 1: is an exploded and perspective view of the present invention.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view ofthe present invention.
Fi-g3 isa sectional view of the wire-laying board and the engaging board assembled together.
Frg 4 is a sectional view ofthe engagement between the engaging board and the board joint, and between the inner (outer) elbow board joint and the receptacle installing board.
Fig. 1 illustrates an exploded and perspective view ofthe present invention. Fig. 3 illustrates a sectional view ofthe wire-laying board and the engaging board being assembled together. Onthetop and bottom of the wire-laying board 1,there is a flange 10 respective ly; between those two flanges, there are furnished a number of wi re-laying channels 11 with a given distance among them. At the top and the bottom of the saw-tooth-shaped engaging board2,thereisfur- nished a soft sealing strip 20 respectively of which the top one is bent inwards, while the bottom one is bent outwards. The horizontal saw-tooth-shaped strips between the two soft sealing strips 20 each have a perpendicular side to the engaging board 2 and a parallel side to the engaging board 2 so as to form a tucked nail groove 21 Onthetop and bottom ends and onthe backside ofthe engaging board 2, an engaging flange 22 is furnished respectively so as to fit with the engaging flange 10 of the wire-laying board 1. The engaging flanges 22 ofthe engaging board 2 are slightly bent upwards (top one) and downwards (bottom one) respectively. The round channel 23on the engaging board2 has an open portion at its upper left corner. Between the teeth ofthefront board of the board joint 3, there is furnished with a tucked nail groove 31. The grooves on the rear board of the joint3 are used as wire channels 32.The internal angle board joint4 includes a saw-tooth-shaped front board and rear board being moulded into one piece from the top end; the groove between the teeth on the front board is used as a tucked nail groove 41, whilethegroove between the teeth on the rear board is used as a wire channel 42. Further, the external angle board joint 5 includes a saw-tooth-shaped front board and rear board being moulded into one piece from the top end; the groove between the teeth on the front board is used as a tucked nail groove 51, while the groove between the teeth on the rear board is used as a wire channel 52.The receptacle installing board 6 is made of two pieces of saw-tooth-shaped board being moulded into one piece from the top end; a through slot in the central portion of the front and rear boards ofthe receptacle installing board 6 is used as the receptacle hole 61. Between two teeth on the front board of the receptacle installing board 6, there is furnished a tucked nail groove 62; the groove on the rear board is the wire channel 63.
Fig. 2 is a perspective view of the present invention being assembled. Upon installing the present invention along a waII,fixthe wire-laying board 1, with adhesive or nail, on the wall surface first, and lay the wires in the wirelaying round channels; then, put the engaging board overthe wire-laying board, and then the wire-laying channel 11 and the covering channel 23 are assembled together to form into a cylinderto lay a wire 7therein. Simultaneously, the engaging flange 10 of the wire-laying board 1 and the engaging flange 22 of the engaging board 2 will be engaged each other so as to attach the engaging board 2 on the wire-laying board 1.In orderto have the engaging board 2 firmly attached to the wire-laying board 1, a numberof screws 8 may be used to fixthe engaging board2tothewire-laying board 1 alongthetucked nail groove 21 at a suitable height. In case of performing atrouble-shooting to the wire 7,just remove the screws 8 and the engaging board 2.
Further, thetop and bottom soft sealing strips 20 on the engaging board 2 will closely attach to the wall and ground respectively.
Referring to Fig. 4, there is shown a sectional view showing the way of engagements between the engaging board 2 and the board joint 3, between the internal (external) angle board joint and the receptacle installing board 6. Forthejoint on a flat surface, the board joint maybe used to cover the two ends, which are a little longerthan those of the wire-laying boards, oftwo engaging boards 2; in that case, the wire7wiil be inserted into the wire channel 32 on the rear board of the board joint 3. In case of a joint being an internal angle of wall, an internal angle board joint 4 may be used to coverthetwo ends, which are a little longerthan those of the wire-laying boards 1, ofthe two engaging boards 2; the wire 7will be inserted into the wire channel 42 on the back side of the rear board 3f the internal angle board joint 4. In case of a joint being an external angle ofwall, an external angle board joint 5 rnaybe usedto coverthetwoends, which are a little longer than those of the wire-laying boards 1, ofthetwo engaging boards 2; the wire 7 will be inserted into the wire channel 52 on the back side of the rear board of the external angle board joint5.In case of a joint being fell over a flat surface with a receptacle 9, a receptacle 9 should be installed in the receptacle hole 61 on the receptacle installing board 6, whilethe wire 7 will be inserted into the wire channel 63 on the backside ofthe rear board ofthe receptacle installing board 6; in that case, the both ends ofthe receptacle installing board 6will coverthetwo ends, which are a little longer than those ofthewire-laying boards 1,ofthetwo engaging boards 2.
In the present invention, a round pipe formed by the wire-laying round channel 11 andthecovering channel 23 is used for laying the wire so as to solve the problems of complicated laid wires and the beautiful appearance of the room. Morever, in case of one wire having a short-circuit, the rest adjacent wires would not be affected because ofthe round wirechannel providing additional protection to each wire in the boards; that means to give more protection and safety to our life and property. The tucked nail grooves 21 on various levels on the engaging board 2 can tuck away the screws from view, i.e. increasing the beauty of the board, and also can eliminatethe possibility of unable to drive or attach a screw on the wall; in that case, the screw may be driven into the wall from a groove at a different level.
Since the upper and the lower soft sealing strips 20 of the engaging board 2 can closely be attached to the wall surface and the floor surface respectively, no water and dustwill enter into the area covered bythe present invention. Further, since the engaging board 2 is attached to the wire-laying board 1 with screws 8, it is ratherconvenientto atroubleshooterto repair or replace the wire, if necessary, by simply removing the screws.
