Abstract

1,039,015. Skirting boards &c. DAVIS SHEET METAL ENGINEERING CO. Ltd. May 28, 1965 [July 2, 1964], No. 27315/64. Heading E1V. For securing removable covers 8 and/or cover strips 11 to skirting 1 (which also constitutes trunking for electric wiring), straps 10 readily engageable with the trunking are first positioned so as to present a screwthreaded bore in an appropriate location to receive a screw 9 passed through an aperture in the subsequently applied cover 8 or cover strip 11. The strap 10 has ends bent to lie parallel respectively with an upper flange 4 of the trunking and with an edge flange 7 of a shelf 6 within the trunking, the strap being dimensioned across its diagonal so that it can be introduced into a position with the ends engaging the flanges 4 and 7 by a turning movement.
