Abstract

A cooling plate 91 on which are mounted semiconductor rectifier elements 8 of a rectifier assembly for a vehicle A.C. generator comprises a sheet metal strip 16 which has spaced notches 17 transversely of its longitudinal direction and is bent to a partially polygonal form. The strip rims are bent up to form stiffening flanges 91a, 91b, notch tongues 91c are bent up and welded together, and notch holes 17a receive mounting screws 111 whose heads may be welded to the strip.
