Abstract
1,073,147. Spring clips &c. DEUTSCHE STAR KUGELHALTER G.m.b.H. Sept. 17, 1964 [Sept. 18, 1963], No. 38000/64. Heading E2B. [Also in Division F2] A fastener for fixing a machine shaft 4 in a housing bore 5 comprises a rectangular spring steel plate 1 having a plane margin 2 around one or more indentations 3 formed of trapezoidal and parabolic shapes in longitudinal and cross sections respectively, the depth of the indentations having a specified ratio to the strength of the plate material. Fig. 7 (not shown) illustrates a hexagonal shaft held in a circular housing bore by means of a number of such fasteners.
