Abstract

990,117. Spring clips; clamp-fastenings. W. A. JUERGERS. Sept. 26, 1961 [Oct. 10, 1960], No. 34432/61. Heading E2B. [Also in Division A4] A flanged appliance such as a sink is secured in an opening in a countertop by a strip 16 covering the gap between the flange of the appliance 12 and the countertop 10 and carrying at intervals clips 30 which are tensioned to the desired degree by screws 50 bearing against the flange of the appliance so that the appliance is held by engagement of the clips behind the outwardly extending flange 43 of a strip nailed to the countertop around the edge of the opening therein. In a modification (Fig. 6) the cover strip is omitted and the clips 30 are carried by the flange of the appliance as shown.
