988,436. Mounting heating cables. L. TIBBY. Feb. 27, 1964 [April 25, 1963], No. 16253/63. Heading H5H. A former for holding a space-heating cable in a zig-zag form comprises a slotted strip having a round bead along the slotted edge, and an # sectioned strip 13 which can be forced over the bead to retain the cable in the slots. Modifications: (i) a separate "clip piece " may be used to close each slot, Figs. 4, 5 (not shown); (ii) the former strip may have a right-angled flange, Fig. 6 (not shown); (iii) the former may be T-shaped instead of having a round bead, Fig. 7 (not shown); (iv) the former may have keyhole-shaped slots in both edges, into which the cable is introduced as shown in Fig. 8, and each edge may be closed by a separate piece as in Fig. 1, or a C-shaped member may be used to close both edges as in Fig. 9 (not shown).
