Wood fibre or plastic tiles 1 are secured to a wall by plastics mounting strips which are formed in two interlocking parts 2a, 2b, each of T-section, the part 2a being nailed to the wall. The web of the part 2b is arrow-shaped in section and mates with a corresponding groove in the part 2a so that the two parts enclose the tiles.
