[Also in Division E1] A compound panel for installation floors comprises a compound wood fibre sheet 10 having undetachably connected to the edges and one surface thereof a reinforcement of sheet metal e.g. a sheet of steel having perforations 21, the edges of said wood fibre sheet having a frame of plastics material 40 attached thereto by a casting process, A lining 30 of plastics material or linoleum may be provided and the metal is preferably adhesively secured to the wood fibre sheet with the edges 22 of the perforations embedded therein.
