Abstract

1453448 Building panels TOKYO PLYWOOD KK and N MEGUMI 7 Nov 1973 [17 Nov 1972 7 Dec 1972] 51713/72 Heading E1B A building element comprises a stepped frame 1 to the inner flange 2 of which a box of damp proof material 9 covered with metal net 10 and filled with fibres is secured, and a cement mortar covering the inner flange and the box to form with the outer flange a peripheral groove 14. The outer flange has holes 16 for fixing devices. The elements are used for cladding walls and are interconnected by joint plates engaging grooves 14 and the gaps are filled with mortar or expansion joints. In a modification the frame is formed from apertured sheet material and the outer flange is bent over to form a U-section housing a resilient strip of treated wood plywood or synthetic resin.
