Abstract

959,195. Wall skirting strip. H. ENDER. June 30, 1960 [July 3, 1959], No. 23018/60. Heading E1V. A skirting strip 23 of synthetic plastics or other resilient material is provided at its head and base respectively with projections 21, 22 adapted to be received in slots in the wall and floor, the strip being shaped so that it becomes stressed in fitting the projections into the slots so as to retain the projections in such slots. The strip includes a part 24 which extends in spaced relation to the base 27 to define therewith a slot opening downwardly and outwardly so as to receive the edge of floor covering material 26, the stresses in the strip tending to close the opening of the slot. The head of the strip is formed with an enlargement containing a cavity 33 communicating with a continuous slot in the underside through which cables and pipes can be introduced into the cavity.
