Abstract

1,214,455. Panelled partition structures. AIRSCREW-WEYROC Ltd. 8 Feb., 1968 [10 Feb., 1967], No. 6558/67. Heading E1W. [Also in Division A4] A panel structure for use as a partition wall, roof or shelf comprises a panel 10 and a clip 13 adapted to be secured to a support and having resilient spaced jaws 28 provided with grooves 30 of a size to receive beading 19 provided on the panel 10 adjacent an edge thereof which is adapted to engage between the jaws 28 of the clip. The beading 19 may be constituted by enlarged edges of a locking member 18 secured to the panel edge, by a wire secured to or moulded into one or both surfaces of the panel Fig. 3 (not shown) or by a strip of metal or plastic secured to the panel edge and projecting out from one or both surfaces thereof, Fig. 4 (not shown). The clip may extend along the full length of the panel. Panels may be connected edge-to-edge by double spring clips 14 each having two pairs of grooved jaws 33 to embrace contiguous edges of two panels provided with the beading 19. The panels may be of wood chipboard coated with synthetic resin and the clip may be of resilient plastics material such as rigid unplastised polyvinyl chloride.
