Heading E2B [Also in Division H2] A resilient clip 14 embrices the upper part of a socket connector body 12 and, in mounting the body in a panel aperture 18, opposed flanges 26 on the body and tongues 48 on the clip engage, respectively, the upper and lower faces of the panel. The clip 14 snap-fits onto the body 12 so that its opposite side walls 40 and connecting pieces 42 engage respectively in recesses 28 and channels 34 of the body, flanges 30 on the body retaining the clip. The resilient connecting pieces 42 are bowed to enable mounting of the connector on panels of different thicknesses.
