1361969 Releasable fastening BRITISH ALUMINIUM CO Ltd 19 April 1971 [26 Nov 1969] 57891/69 Headings E1W and E2B [Also in Division B5] A snap-connector for sheet material comprises an edging strip having legs 2 with external re-entrant formations 3, and a securing device 40, 41 for receiving the beading. The beading and securing device are relatively proportioned so that they can be snap-fitted together by first inserting a limb 41 of the securing device into one of the re-entrant formations 3 of the beading and then relatively rotating the beading and securing device so that the other limb of the securing device enters the other re-entrant formation of the beading. The beading la may be hollow. The sheet material may be corrugated cardboard, wood or plastics. The snap-connector can be made of plastics or aluminium.
