Abstract

1281395 Spray carburetters MOTOR NARODNI PODNIK 4 Nov 1969 [27 Nov 1968] 53943/69 Heading F1B A variable Venturi carburetter has a pivotable flap 3, Fig. 1 formed at its free end as a flat blade 7 which co-operates with a bridge in the air passage to form the Venturi, the flap shaft 4 being connected to a spring-biased diaphragm to effect flap movement in dependence on the pressure at the Venturi throat, the other end of the lever being connected to a needle 27, Fig. 4 controlling the fuel supply. The other end is also connected to a damping device 17. Diaphragm 33 Fig. 3 is subjected to the vacuum in the throat communicated through duct 37 to chamber 38 and to atmospheric pressure in chamber 52. Fuel from the float chamber passes through the jet orifice 28 Fig. 4, duct 30, Fig.1 and emulsion tube 9 to duct 8 at the Venturi throat. The relationship between the positions of the flap 3 and the needle 27 may be varied by altering the relative positions of levers 15 and 23 which are held frictionally by a device 39 rotatable by a captive screw (49), Fig.2 (not shown).
