Planes, construction of; framework.-An assembling. templet for connecting the elements of a metal aeroplane wing spar together and to the rib-sections comprises upper and lower plates C<1>, C<2> connected together by a web C<3>, which constitutes a spacing-piece between the elements A', A<2> of the spar and may be perforated at C<5> to receive these elements. Flanges C<6> at the sides of these perforations provide a riveting connexion. Tongues C<7> - - C" formed on the the plates C<1>, C<2> serve further to position the spar elements. The templet may extend at each side of the spar so as to afford means for connecting the rib-sections D<1>, D<2>; snap-fastenings C<13>, D3 serve to position the rib-sections. Additional connexions between the ribs and spars may be provided by angle-irons F. The spar shown comprises two elements A<1>, A<2> each formed of upper and lower channels A<3>, A<4> connected by corrugated webs A<5>. The elements A', A<2> may be further connected by plates E', E<2>.
