Abstract

Cooking-stoves.-A combined cooking-range and water-heater is heated by a fire-box c, from which the gases pass over the oven o and through flues p, r to a damper box m, and thence through a flue k to a chimney; alternatively, when the flue p is closed by the damper t, the gases pass through a partitioned flue i to the damper box m, and thence to the chimney through the flue k. The mouth of the flue i is funnel-shaped. The boiler and stove are connected by a water-cooled flange - or projective f inserted into the frame e; the joint is then cemented.
