1,273,795. Air humidifier. O. A. KREIBERG. 30 July, 1969 [31 July, 1968], No. 38287/69. Heading B1R. An air humidifier of the type in which steam is generated by an electric heating element immersed in water and released to atmosphere comprises a double-walled chamber with a steam outlet 8 and a heating element 10, the vessel being partially immersed in water in a reservoir 1 and connected thereto by a narrow elongated tube 5 so that little or no hot water flows from the vessel back to the reservoir. A thermostat 14 is arranged in the cavity of the double wall and cuts off the current when the temperature rises to a predetermined extent above the boiling point of water and reconnects the current when the temperature has dropped somewhat.
