Class 39(3) An electric storage water heater, comprising a heating element 9, an inlet 7 and an outlet 8 mounted on a removable closure plate 6 for the tank or cylinder, has a bi-metal thermostatic switch mounted in a container which is removably mounted in an inwardly extending pocket 10 on the plate. The pocket is preferably cylindrical in shape and closed at its inner end so that the switch unit is easily removed and replaced. The switch unit comprises a base 12, Fig. 3, of insulating material having a web 13 on which the bi-metal member 11 is mounted. Specification 722,220 is referred to.
