Abstract

807,556. Electric immersion heaters. SANTON Ltd. Dec. 17, 1956 [Dec. 15, 1955], No. 35974/55. Addition to 722,220. Class 39(3) The immersion heater claimed in the parent Specification is modified in that the heater head is provided with a container comprising a moulding of heat insulating material having on its underside a housing which has an open lower face closed by a metal member. As shown, a heater head 5 supports a removably mounted container 8 preferably formed of a synthetic resin. The container comprises a housing 9 for a bi-metal thermostatic switch 10, and the housing is closed by a removable metal plate 12. The ends of a heating element 13 pass into the container which also carries terminals 14. An overall cover member 17 is secured by means of a screwed rod 16 and a nut.
