Tidal energy, utilizing.-Tidal energy is utilized by means of an axial-flow turbine d with vanes set at an angle of 45 degrees disposed between oppositely inclined guide-blades f, g and communicating by passages c, e with the sea and an enclosed basin. The turbine may operate pumps for raising water to a reservoir to supply a turbo-generator station.
