Photographic elements comprise a supported silver halide emulsion layer and a hydrophilic layer containing (a) a triazole cold toning agent, and (b) a silver salt of a mercaptoazole. Preferably an overcoat layer contains 0À1-10 mg. ft.<SP>-2</SP> of a benzotriazole and 10-70 mg. ft.<SP>-2</SP> of a silver salt of a 5-mercaptotetrazole.
