1,186,712. Direct positive emulsions. EASTMAN KODAK CO. March 10, 1967 [March 11, 1966; Jan.17, 1967], No.11292/67. Heading G2C. Direct positive silver halide emulsions comprising fogged silver halide grains are characterised in that (i) at least 95% by weight and/or at least 95% by number of said grains have a diameter which is within 40% of the mean grain diameter and (ii) the grains are fogged with both a reduction fogging agent and a gold fogging agent. The emulsions are prepared and may contain the additives and have the additional characteristics described in Specification 1,186,711.
