Abstract

1,269,534. Valves. ROBERT BOSCH G.m.b.H. 1 Aug., 1969 [2 Aug., 1968], No. 38653/69. Addition to 1,214,584. Heading F2V. A valve adjusting device comprises a knob 14 insertable into a recess in a housing 1 against a spring 22 and connectible to a spindle 6 via an intermediate ring 2 journalled in the housing having an opening to accept the squared end 5 of the spindle, and a lockable stop 20 to retain the knob within the recess, the depth of the recess corresponding to at least the height of the knob. The stop 20 is released from a groove 21 in the ring 2 by a key 24 and cylindrical lock 19 so that the knob 14, and sleeve 18 secured thereto, can be pushed outwards by the spring 22. At the outermost position, teeth 15 on the knob engage teeth 13 on the ring 2 so that rotation of the knob can be transmitted to the spindle 6. The housing 1 is attached to a valve body 7 by sleeve 8.
