Abstract

125,963. Soc. Anon. du Carburateur Fill. Oct. 15,1917, [Convention date]. Vnid [Published under Sect. 91 of the Act]. Addition to 125,962. Spray carburettors.-The parent Specification describes a carburettor in which a single nozzle, which discharges into a horizontal choke tube, is provided with an additional radial fuel duct which discharges into a chamber which communicates with the carburettor passage on the engine side of the throttle valve. According to the present invention, the carburettor comprises a horizontal casing 1 with choke tube 6, and a depending casing 3 into which is fitted a support 4 for the nozzle 9. A plug 10 forms chambers 11, 12 between the nozzle and casing 3 respectively, and has a radial duct 17 leading to a by-passage 8 controlled by a screw 18, and communicating with the carburettor passage on the engine side of the throttle valve. Air may be admitted to the passage 8 through a perforated plug in the end thereof, and to the chamber 12 through hole 16. The chamber 11 communicates with the choke tube and with the fuel discharge passage 13 through ducts 15, 14 respectively.
