A carburetter idling system comprises a removable air inlet jet 2 secured to the top of a tube 1 provided with openings 4 at the top and bottom ends, the fuel entering the idling passage 3 through a jet 9 and the aerated idling mixture leaving through a port 10. During transition air enters the idling passage 3 through port 6. An adjustable valve needle 11 may be replaced by a fixed jet.
