Abstract
1,123,644. Carburetters. SOC. INDUSTRIELLE DE BREVETS ET D'ETUDES. May 24, 1967 [June 30, 1966], No.24188/67. Heading F1B. In a carburetter comprising an inclined well 1 supplied with fuel through its lower portion and with air through a plunger tube 3 which is coaxial with and inside this well and has perforations 4 in its lateral wall and a jet duct 5 running from a zone in the well above the normal level of fuel in the well and ending at a jet outlet 6 in the carburetter intake duct 7 this jet duct being adapted to discharge the primary mixture of air and fuel formed in the well under the influence of the under-pressure prevailing in the intake duct, in a zone between the normal fuel level N and the beginning of the jet duct, a ventilation duct 17 is connected to the inclined well leading up in a substantially vertical direction. The upper portion of the ventilation duct may end in a duct connecting a constant level chamber to an air inlet of the carburetter or in a constantlevel chamber, or may lead to atmosphere.
