Abstract

1,249,992. Reciprocating pumps. J. J. LORANT. Aug.14, 1969 [Aug.14, 1968], No.38943/68. Heading F1A. In a pump comprising at least two pistons 3, 4, the rods 5, 5a of which are coupled for simultaneous reciprocation in respective cylinders 1, 2, at least one of the pistons 4 is slidable on its rod 5 between abutments 7, 8 adjustable to vary the piston stroke. Thus liquid is pumped from the individual cylinders at predetermined proportionate rates. The cylinders 1, 2 shown are coaxial and are reciprocated by an hydraulic or pneumatic motor, Fig.2 (not shown) comprising a piston slidable in a cylinder and having a rod coaxially connected to the rod 5a. The member connecting the motor and pump rods is arranged to operate end of stroke changeover valves adjustable to vary the stroke of the motor. For Figure See next page
