1,130,780. Reciprocating pumps. G.R. BARNES. Sept. 24, 1966, No. 42750/66. Heading F1A. A bucket piston comprises a head (44) slidable in a cylinder 60 and which is engageable on the delivery stroke by a conical surface 55a formed on the end of the rod 50a and on the return stroke by arm members 59a secured to the end of the rod. As shown, a spring-loaded member 69 may be provided at the end of the cylinder 60 so as to be engageable by the piston head and end 54a of the rod 50a which are thereby cleaned. The pump described comprises two cylinders fed by a screw from a hopper.
