Transformers.-A transformer, reactance, or the like has a fixed coil and a movable coil, the latter being positively controlled to move in a path at an angle to the vertical. The core of the transformer has three legs; the coil 19 is fixed on the middle leg and the coil 20 is fixed to a frame 27 supported on a pivot 28 carried by extensions of the upper core clamp 21. The lower core clamp 22 has an extension 22' which supports the entire transformer in its casing.
