Overheating of superheating-tubes, preventing. -In a superheater having the regulator F placed in the outlet side and provided with a blower or pump for drawing steam through the superheating tubes B and back into the boiler when the regulator is closed, as described in the Parent Specification, the tubes may be flooded with water supplied through a pipe connected to the boiler water space. The valve I placing the dry steam compartment in communication with the boiler steam space is operated automatically or by hand. Water may be supplied to and withdrawn from the tubes .by means of an injector or the like. The water withdrawn may be fed to the boiler.
