Overheating of superheating-tubes, preventing. -In the apparatus described in the parent Specification for admitting an auxiliary supply of steam to the superheater and engine cylinder when the regulator-valve is closed, the valve J in the exhaust passage for the auxiliary steam supply, instead of being kept off its seat until the regulator is opened by a spring, is kept off by the boiler steam pressure. Boiler steam is admitted below the valve through a passage K in communication with the auxiliary steam-supply pipe F.
