Abstract

13,207. Parker, J. C. May 31. Double-beat valves; actuating valves. - In order to maintain a steady pressure in a steamboiler, the steam-line is fitted with a weighted double-beat valve 10 fixed to a diaphragm 11, upon which the steam pressure in the boiler acts to open the valve. A by-pass 8, provided in the valve casing to allow steam to enter the line when the valve is closed, is controlled by a screw-down valve 12, and is fitted with a non- return hinged valve 14.
