Abstract

1,214,825. Panel building structures. JOHN BLAND & CO. Ltd. 29 Nov., 1968 [29 Nov., 1967], No. 54246/67. Heading E1W. A building structure comprises two frames each of which incorporates a frame member the respective frame members 15, 16, being adjacent and parallel and bridged by a strip 28, and also two channel members 19 each on the same side of and overlying a part of the strip 28 and each receiving an edge of a facing panel or of a frame member for doors, windows &c (figs. 2, 3). The strip 28, of anodised aluminium, extends parallel to a wooden member 17 located in rebates in the frame members and at the inner ends of the frame members, a metal strip 24 formed of two similar channels with a common base 25 positions inner panels 12. Such an arrangement of channel members, cladding panels and frame members may be used with frame members which do not extend vertically.
