Sanitary pails. - In order to prevent tapered sanitary buckets from jamming when nested, the upper portion of each bucket is furnished with three or more hollow sheet-metal projections formed from blanks shaped as shown in Fig. 4. After each blank has been bent to the form shown in Figs. 2 and 3, the edge a. b of the blank is engaged beneath the bead at the top of the bucket, and the flap g, h, j is then secured to the side of the bucket by riveting, welding. &c. The blank, Fig. 4, may have extensions that project from the sides a c, b, f, and are bent to form conical beads before the other parts of the blank are bent to the form previously described.
