Abstract
1,207,609. Sprayproducers. NATIONAL RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT CORP. 28 July, 1969 [6 Aug., 1968], No. 37396/68. Heading B2F. Compressed air flowing through the convergent nozzle outlet A at near sonic velocity passes into the well of a resonator cup 13 and liquid introduced into inlet 7 flows as an annular stream B from passage 5 to impinge on the vibrating gas by which it is atomized and entrained to flow over the knife edge 14 of the cup 13 into the surrounding atmosphere. The annular passage 5 may be replaced by arcuate slots, a ring of holes or a single hole. (For Figure see next column)
