Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve turbine driving performance of pressurized, heat water, by causing drastic volume change of heated water in a nozzle with a slit by way of flash, thus atomizing and distributing the heated water uniformly, and accelerating the same by gas.
CONSTITUTION: Slit 5 is formed in the wall surface at the outlet portion of nozzle located downstreams of throat portion 1, and a portion of pressurized, heated water in liquid phase or gas phase or both, flowing separately at high-pressure portion of nozzle inlet 2, is by-passed from main stream to outlet portion 3 through by- pass line 4. By use of the force caused when two-phase flash flow is expanded due to pressure drop of the by-pass flow, annular flow S of liquid film formed on the wall surface of the nozzle is separated from the wall surface and broken into fine pieces, whereby high-speed flow of finely and uniformly atomized water particles, with no speed difference between the gas phase and the liquid phase flow, can be obtained
